Description

The audio amplifier is suitable for the following modules:

The digital (Class-D) amplifier PV-100W was specially developed for our sound modules and sound speed controllers in order to achieve significantly higher performance and thus higher volume of the sound output.

The PV-100W works with voltages of 7 - 30 V. However, a supply voltage below 12 V is generally not very useful, as higher output power can only be achieved at higher voltages.

The PV-100W can be powered by a battery that is already in the model. However, it is also possible to use a separate battery.

1 or 2 speakers with an impedance of 4 ohms each can be connected.

The speaker output of the sound module or sound speed controller is connected directly to the audio input of the amplifier. The audio input is galvanically isolated and no additional level converter or filter is necessary. However, a ferrite ring (included in delivery) must be installed in the cable between the sound module and the audio input.

Der Verstärker ist sehr einfach anzuschließen, weil keine Potentialtrennung oder Pegelanpassung zu den Modulen mehr erforderlich ist. Will sagen, der Verstärker wird einfach an den Lautsprecherausgang des Moduls angesteckt. Mit einem Poti (Pegel-Regler) kann die Verstärkerleistung bequem angepasst werden.

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass die erzielbare Lautstärke nicht nur von der Betriebsspannung des Verstärkers abhängt, wie beschrieben, sondern auch von der Betriebsspannung des Soundmoduls. Auch hier ist eine hohe Betriebsspannung (im Rahmen der zulässigen Werte) nützlicher als eine niedrige. Meine Soundmodule arbeiteten bisher mit Empfängerspannung (nahe 5 V), weil ich 12 V im Modell nicht hatte. Dies ist beim Einsatz des Verstärkers nicht mehr optimal, auch wenn der mit 24 V arbeitet. Ein einfacher Spannungswandler von 24 V auf 12 V behebt das Problem, denn hohe Leistungen / Stromstärken werden dem Soundmodul ja nicht mehr abgefordert, wenn ein Verstärker benutzt wird.

Als Lautsprecher benutze ich ein Exemplar mit sog. Doppel-Schwingspule. Damit sind elektrisch gesehen 2 unabhängige Spulen vorhanden, während mechanisch nur eine große Membran benötigt wird. EIN großer Lautsprecher ist immer besser als ZWEI kleinere, speziell wenn es um Basswiedergabe geht.
