Good day! The SFR1 in my Tamiya Scania started something odd today.
If I start the engine sound....I get intermittent static. It seems that if the truck is in motion, this doesn't occur.
I also noticed that if I turn on the 4 way hazard lights...they stutter and get out of sync with the sound when the static sound occurs.
I further noticed that when the stat noise occurs - the blue LED on the SFR1 momentarily goes off.
I thought it was my location when it started - but it does it at home too.
Thankful for thoughts. I do have a video of this....but not sure how to link. https://youtube.com/shorts/aD5JjER0C9w
"Static" Sound at Idle - Stuttering Indicators
Re: "Static" Sound at Idle - Stuttering Indicators
Hello Matt,
try reformatting the SD card (make sure you have a copy of the project on your PC!) and save the project again.
If the problem still occurs please upload your configuration file (*.sfr) and a diagnosis file.

Hi Rascal!
I formatted the card and reloaded the files. Worked fine!
However, I had to make a number of adjustments to the file, which I did via the USB. After the finally change...the static was back worse than before.
I re-formatted the cards and loaded again. Made 1 additional change via USB.
This time, so far...so good!
Thanks as always for your help. I think moving forward, I should simply format the re-load the card as a precaution when anything seems amiss.

I would also get a spare SD card if you don't have one already, seems there might be somthing wrong with it.

Good idea....if I don't have one...I can get one.
I think I've been using 32gb cards. Are there guidelines as to size, speed, etc?

Hello Matt,
the maximum ist 32GB and you need a card with a very fast access rate. Unfortunately there is no particular marking which indicates a very fast access rate, let alone guarantee it. See also here for some explanation.
Your best bet is some new (as in recently released), branded card.

Thanks Rascal. I'me very familiar with the speeds, etc on SD cards, I use them in professional video.
I never gave a thought that the SFR1 is reading from the card the entire time it is in use. Makes much more sense.
Now that I study the card that came with the SFR1, I see it listed as a Class 10...that'll get me in the right direction.
