Led connections carson trailer lights

Hello

Having a bit of a headache I am building a converted bruder lowloader and am looking at the beier IR system to get signals to the trailer, the trailer has it's own battery which is a 3s lipo for ramp and leg motors so I am happy about putting resistors on the leds for some protection and to lower voltages. For my rear lights on the trailer I have got Carson style 8 smd led boards which have 1 common positive and 5 switched negative for each led function brake indicators etc... I can see the main USM-RC-2 use common positive and switched negatives but looking at SM-IR-2 board each output has positive and negative connections rather than common positive. Just wondering if anyone has experience with carson pcb led boards with this beier IR board.

Sorry it's long winded just seeing if anyone has any info

Cheers

Hi,

all the positive connections are connected to each other and the battery plus, i.e. the SM-IR-16-2 has one common positive and switched negatives like the USM-RC-2. Thus you can use any of the outputs to connect the positive from the LED boards.
